Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Music Quizly (the "Service"), including Music Quizly for Events. The Service is operated by Karlsen Digital / Ankra, Spurveveien 18, 9512 Alta, Norway. By creating an account, connecting a social login, paying for a plan, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Accounts. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must keep your credentials confidential. We may suspend or close an account, room, code, or list immediately, with no prior warning, if you violate these Terms, cheat, harass others, use the Service illegally, commit payment fraud or a chargeback, scrape or abuse the Service, upload content that infringes someone else’s rights, or otherwise harm the Service or other people. Access ends when we close it.

2. Acceptable Use. You agree not to harass others, disrupt rooms, or attempt to scrape or abuse the Service. In-game display names must remain civil. We may refuse a purchase, a code, or an account. We may moderate or remove any content or account that harms the Service or other people.

3. Third-Party Content & APIs. The Service facilitates access to music and metadata provided by third-party platforms (for example, Deezer). We do not own this music. Playback depends on those providers and can stop. That does not put us in breach of these Terms. Your use of the Service is subject to their availability and terms.

4. Music Quizly for Events. A paid plan buys room slots for your own song-guessing room. It does not buy the songs. While a slot is active it includes your room name, logo, and colors, an exclusive join code, and no ads in that room for you or the people who join. Prices are in US dollars and are shown before you pay. Taxes, if any, are added at Stripe Checkout.

The monthly plan is $49.90 per month and includes one room slot. Each extra room slot is $29.90 per month. The plan renews until you cancel it. If you add extra slots during a period you already paid for, you pay a one-time prorated amount for the rest of that period. The subscription changes only after that payment succeeds, and the higher monthly price applies from then on. We do not offer a way to remove a single extra slot before the period ends.

The 3-day pass is a single payment of $34.90 for one room slot for 3 days. It does not renew. The trial is free: one room slot for 6 hours, up to 5 players, once per account.

You can cancel a monthly plan from the billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for. Rooms stay open until that time, then close. If a payment fails, rooms stay closed until billing is updated. If you delete your account, the subscription ends immediately.

The digital service starts as soon as payment succeeds. By paying, you ask us to start immediately. A reserved code belongs to the slot only while the slot is active. It is not a trademark grant. We can reclaim a code that infringes someone else’s rights, and we reclaim it when the slot ends. People who join your room are not our customers for the paid plan. You are responsible for how the room is used.

5. Your name, logo, and other material. You confirm that you have the right to the name, logo, and any other material you upload. You let us display that material in your room. You are responsible for claims that the material causes.

6. Fees and refunds. Fees already paid are not refunded when we suspend or close access under section 1, except where the law requires a refund. Canceling, deleting your account, or stopping a pass early does not refund the current period or the pass. We do not give a partial refund because a room was used less than you expected, a guest did not arrive, or a song was unavailable. A new price applies to the next period, or to a new pass, after we show it. The period you already paid for stays at the price you paid.

7. "As-Is" & Limitation of Liability. The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not promise that a room will be available for a particular night, a particular number of guests, or a particular song. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Karlsen Digital / Ankra is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost bookings, lost ticket sales, a spoiled event, data loss, or service interruptions. Liability for a paid plan is capped at the amount you paid for that plan in the previous month, or at the pass price for a pass. Rights that the law does not allow us to exclude still stand.

8. Service Changes. We may change, limit, or discontinue features, including Events, at any time. We do not owe a refund beyond the period already paid. We are not responsible for the loss of "Star Tiers," stats, badges, rooms, or lists because of a technical change or because an account was closed.

9. Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms by posting the new page. Continued use after that is acceptance. A price change still follows section 6.

10. Governing Law. These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Alta, Norway.
