How do I set up a room?

Open the Event Dashboard. Choose Customize on a room slot, or add a room if you have a free slot. Give it a name, a logo, and colors, then pick the list it should start with. Save the room, then press Start room. The room will not start until a list is chosen.

How do I add my name, logo, and colors?

In Customize, the room name is required before you can save. The logo can be a PNG, JPG, or WebP under 5 MB. Pick a color swatch, or set your own color. Guests see that name, logo, and color on the join screen and in the room.

How do I choose a join code?

In Customize, set an exclusive join code such as FRIDAY. Guests can then use yoursite.com/FRIDAY. Each code can belong to only one room. You can also leave the code empty and start with a random code.

How do I create my own list?

On the dashboard, open Create new list. Name the list, then add songs by search or by pasting lines. Each line should be a song people can guess, such as an artist and a title. Save the list when every line has a match. Then assign it to a room with Change on that room’s list.

How do I add songs from a paste?

On the list page, paste one song per line. Lines we can match are filled in. A line we cannot match stays on the page as still needing a pick. Search for the right song, or remove that line. The list cannot be saved while a line still needs a pick.

Why does a line still say it needs a pick?

That line did not match a song we can play. Choose a match, or remove the line. Save stays off until every line is resolved, so a bad line is not dropped in silence.

Why isn’t my list working?

Run Check Playlist on the list. Songs that no longer have a preview are marked so you can remove them. A list that has not been checked in a long time shows a reminder for the same reason. A room also will not start on an empty list, and a playlist we cannot use shows “That playlist cannot start a room.”

How do I check a list before I use it?

On the list page or on the dashboard, press Check Playlist. It walks the songs and tells you which ones are ready. Fix or remove anything that fails, then save.

How do I start a room?

On the room, press Start room. The room opens in a new tab with your list queued. If a list is missing, the start stops and asks you to choose one. If that room is already running, use Go to room.

Why won’t the room start?

The usual reason is that no list is assigned. Choose a list, then start again. Starting can also fail when the join code is already in use by a live room, or when billing needs an update. The page shows which of those it is.

How do guests join?

Share the room link, the join code, or the QR code. A reserved code opens yoursite.com/CODE. After the room has started, guests enter a name and land in your branded room. Two people who type the same name get a number added to the second name.

How do I show a QR code?

On the dashboard, press QR Code on the room. You can look at the code and download it for a poster or a screen. The same window is available inside a running room.

Why doesn’t the QR code work?

The code on a poster points at your join link. That link opens the game only after you have started the room. Until then, scanning it does not find a live game.

How long does the room stay up?

A paid premium room stays open while it is in use. If nobody is playing, it closes after 24 hours. You get a warning about 30 minutes before that. A trial room closes when the 6 hours end, even if people are still in it. Shut down on the dashboard closes it right away.

What happens if I leave the room?

Guests can keep playing for a while after the host leaves. Scores live in the room and are gone when the room closes. Your song lists stay on your account.

Can more than one person use the same room code?

Yes. Everyone who joins that code is in the same room, with the same list and the same host. A second room cannot be started with a code that is already live. A different device is a new player. The same browser reconnects as the same player.

Are scores and lists saved?

Song lists are saved to your account and stay there after you reload or close a room. Scores belong to the live room and are cleared when that room shuts down.

Are premium rooms ad free?

Yes. Once the room is confirmed as a premium room, you and everyone who joins play without ads.

What does the monthly plan include?

The monthly plan is $49.90 and includes one room slot, with up to 200 players. You can brand it, keep an exclusive join code, and run it with no ads. It renews until you cancel.

How do extra room slots work?

Each extra room slot is $29.90 per month. On the Events page, choose how many you need. The total is shown before you continue. You can add slots later. Removing one slot before the period ends is not offered from that screen.

Why was the extra slot a different price than $29.90?

When you add a slot in the middle of a month you already paid for, you pay only for the days left in that period. The next renewal is the full monthly total, including every extra slot.

What is the 3-day pass?

The pass is a single payment of $34.90 for one room slot for 3 days, with up to 200 players. It does not renew. It is not available while a monthly plan is already on the account.

How does the free trial work?

The trial is one room slot for 6 hours, with up to 5 players. Each account can start it once. Nothing is charged. When those 6 hours end, the room closes. Refreshing does not start the time again. After it is used, the button says Trial used.

How do I cancel?

On the Events page, choose Cancel subscription. Cancellation is at the end of the time you already paid for. You can keep using the rooms until then.

What happens after I cancel?

The rooms stay until the end of the paid period, then they close. The unused part of the period is not refunded. Deleting the account ends the subscription immediately and does not refund the current period.

Why are my rooms closed after a payment?

If the last payment did not go through, rooms stay closed until billing is updated. Use Update billing on the Events page. A plan is also required before rooms and lists can be saved.

What happens if I already have a room running and I start another?

You can run one live room for each slot you have. When every slot is already live, creating another game asks you to go to the running room, or to close it and start a new one. Play Solo on the front page stays a regular room and does not use a premium slot.

Why does it say this code is already in use?

That exclusive code is already the address of a live room. Join that room, or shut it down before starting it again. Two rooms cannot share one code at the same time.

How do I copy the player link?

On the room card, press the room link. It is copied to the clipboard, and the page tells you when that worked. If the browser blocks the copy, the link is still shown on the card so you can select it.

How do I shut a room down?

On the running room, press Shut down. Guests leave that game. The room slot stays on your account, ready to start again. Remove deletes the saved room itself.

How do I get another room slot?

When every room slot is in use, Get another pre made room slot appears under your rooms. That opens the same slot choice as the Events page. The new monthly total is shown before you pay.

How do I delete my account?

Open My account and choose Delete account. That removes the login, event rooms, lists, and artwork, and cancels a monthly plan so it is not billed again. It cannot be undone.
